PRINCE - HIT N RUN Phase Two - NPG
When the news broke last week about the untimely passing of Prince, everyone was in utter shock. The world will never be the same without him, but his funky soulful and emotional music will live on forever. Republic Records/Roc Nation release the 39th and final studio album, HIT N RUN Phase Two. This is the follow up album to the fan favorite HIT N RUN Phase One, which was released in September 2015. The album is classic Prince. Slinky sex grooves. Thank U Prince.
THE JAYHAWKS - Paging Mr. Proust - Sham
Paging Mr. Proust finds the 2016 Jayhawks still remain one of America's foremost rock bands: based around leader Gary Louris gift for melody that has made them such a respected and seminal group for almost three decades. Paging Mr. Proust features the long-time core of the Jayhawks: Gary Louris (lead vox/guitars), Marc Perlman (bass), Tim O Reagan (drums/vox), and Karen Grotberg (keyboards/vox). From the jangle of album opener Quiet Corners & Empty Spaces to the trademark harmonies of Isabel's Daughter to the more pensive Lover Of The Sun , it is clear that The Jayhawks power remains undiminished from their initial national impact, 1992's Hollywood Town Hall. Other tracks such as the sludgy rocker Lost The Summer, the kraut-rock groove of Ace and the taut minimalism of Comeback Kids bring new sounds to the palette. Paging Mr. Proust shows a commitment to adventure and forward motion, which makes this collection of songs exciting and instantly memorable.

NEW MADRID - Magnetkingmagnetqueen - Normaltown Records
New Madrid's chemistry and singular sonic stamp are undeniable. Years of relentless touring, hundreds of shows and several thousand hours playing together have yielded a battle-hardened brotherhood – a band on a mission. New Madrid’s new record Magnetkingmagnetqueen, on Normaltown Records, comprises a sprawling 15 tracks, equal parts groove and jangle, psyche and fuzz, rock, grit and slow burners. Co-produced with esteemed engineer David Barbe (Deerhunter, Animal Collective, Drive-By Truckers), the album rewards the careful listener with unfolding layers of experimental soundscapes and grooves, bearing new discoveries with each enthralling listen.
BAD COMPANY - Bad Company Live In Concert 1977 & 1979 [2CD] - Atlantic
The collection includes more than two-and-half hours of unreleased music taken from 24-track tapes in Bad Company's vault. The music heard on this live collection features absolutely no enhancements or overdubs, nothing but the band as they performed live on the night of the concert. Bad Company Live In Concert 1977 & 1979 includes two previously unreleased concerts with one additional track taken from the group's June 26, 1979 show in Washington, DC.
KEITH URBAN - Ripcord - Capitol Nashville
As the excitement mounts for Keith Urban's May 6th release of Ripcord, and for his subsequent June 2nd launch of his ripCORD World Tour 2016, details of his eighth studio album are revealed. RIPCORD features a virtual who's who of creative collaborators for an album that Urban says was his most exhilarating album to make, both musically and creatively. This album's journey began back in January, 2015 and took me to a lot of unexplored people and places. added Urban. The end result was the recording and exploring of more songs then I've ever done before and carving that down to what I felt constituted RIPCORD. For the 13-track album, which has already produced his 19th and 20th No. 1 songs, Urban amassed an eclectic group of Grammy, CMA, ACM Award-winning writers and co-producers, who that have collectively worked with the likes of Adele, Jason Aldean, David Bowie, Luke Bryan, Kelly Clarkson, Brett Eldredge, Fun, Lady Gaga, Jay-Z, Madonna, Daft Punk, Pink and Taylor Swift. They include new collaborations with Jeff Bhasker, busbee, Greg Wells and Nile Rodgers, as well as those who Urban has worked with before, including Shane McAnally, Ross Cooperman, Dann Huff and Nathan Chapman all of whom worked with Urban on his previous No. 1 album FUSE. Getting to work with people like this was unlike anything I've envisioned before, said Urban. It's the result of writing, reaching, imagining, and following the muse every step of the way.
DIANA KRALL - Stepping Out [Vinyl] - Justin Time Records
Stepping Out launched the career of one of our generation’s greatest Jazz artists. “Diana Krall's 1993 debut shows that she had the goods right from the get-go. Krall sings with honesty, subtlety, and persuasion while playing the piano with head-shaking authority, both as accompanist - she offers amazing asides in between vocal phrases - and as an absolutely A-one improviser.” (Zan Stewart). The Justin Time Essentials Collection introduces the album to a new generation of fans, but this time with an added bonus track from the original sessions – Diana’s incredible arrangement of “Summertime”.

Faith No More - Sol Invictus
The music of Faith No More has lived through five presidents, endless wars, economic booms and busts, global meltdown and revolutionary rebirths. Throughout the ‘80s and ‘90s, the hardedged group’s hybridized sound has scored the soundtrack to a time of change, and now in the 21st century, the legendary band has evolved once more to return with a powerful new album, Sol Invictus, and a new focus.
Nevermen - Nevermen
Nevermen is neither side-project nor super group; it's merely meant to be — a years-in-the-making partnership in which these men shared all duties, discovering their collective sound with the sort of glee and freedom usually reserved for first-timers. Amid this wild, weird churn of rock, pop, rap, soul, and other, it's shockingly easy to lose track of who's singing at what moment, and that's the point: to quote Tunde/Adam/Mike in song, "The frontman digests its self." Nevermen, the album, finds these three giants shredding their egos to get at the heart of why they do what they do, to explore the hopes and fears and wins and losses of anyone who carves career out of what started as dream.

Babymetal is a Japanese metal idol band. Their line-up consists of Suzuka Nakamoto as "Su-metal", Yui Mizuno as "Yuimetal", and Moa Kikuchi as "Moametal". The concept of the group is a fusion of the metal and idol genres.

Bands performing schedule:
• 12 PM - EmiSunshine - T-shirts and CDS available now at the store.
It’s impossible to explain the exceptional talents of EmiSunshine, an 11-year-old East Tennessee prodigy who has captured the nation’s attention as a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Steeped in Appalachian music, she is a true vocal stylist, one who instinctively knows how to interpret the nuances of a song with her impressive range, even though she has yet to gain the life experience and empathy seemingly necessary to fully comprehend the words she sings. Despite a given name that reflects optimism, she is drawn to darker themes of pain, anguish and even murder, like that of The Louvin Brothers, whom she loves.
• 1 PM - Appalachian Surf TeamMembers: Guitar / Sean Sparbanie- Guitar / Drew Fulton- Bass / Rodney Sheehan- Drums / Austin PolleyGenre: Surf-RockHometown: Knoxville, TN
• 2 PM - Roomsounds
There’s a reason legions of young rock fans fall in love with their parents’ records. It’s the same reason so many radio stations still play classic rock: Great music never gets old. And it’s what prompted singer and guitarist Ryan Michael to reinvent his sound, leaving behind his teenage past in a Warped Tour band signed to a Warner Bros. subsidiary and relocating from Connecticut to Texas.
“We wanted to immerse ourselves in the South,” explains Michael. “To be around the best blues and country players. It all just seemed so much more authentic than the shit going on around me.”
The entire band embraced those influences — Beatles, Stones, Petty, Big Star, Faces and Oasis to new a few. Along with guitarist/vocalist Sam Janik, bassist/vocalist Red Coker and drummer Dan Malone, The Roomsounds make their own sound, initially from a run down industrial space with no heating, cooling or plumbing. They’re now living in a proper house in East Dallas, but not much else has changed. There’s always someone over– beautiful women, musicians and what the band calls ‘permanent guests,” all decked out with long hair and bell-bottoms. They’ve created their own Exile in Dallas and the music shows it.
• 3 PM - Mountains Like Wax
Murfreesboro, TN based band Mountains Like Wax is satisfying hungry fans one show at a time with their relentlessly poignant and exuberant Southern post-rock. Having played over fifty plus shows in the past year and counting without a sound recording, they are proving to be a band to watch as they charge to the forefront of Middle Tennessee’s burgeoning indie rock scene. Mitchell Taylor (vocals, guitar), Samuel Katz (guitar), and Preston Vaughn (drums) are now ready to commit their sound to tape and make a rallying cry for their generation as they wrap arms around those begging to know will the future render glory, will it be pliable, or will it melt and fade?
