Brandi Carlile

live in store
Wednesday February 10 at 6:30pm

Several of Carlile's songs have appeared in commercials and on televisions shows such as Grey's Anatomy. Along the way, she has toured with the likes of Ray LaMontagne, and Sheryl Crow, who raved about Carlile's support performances online: "She has the most amazing voice I may have ever heard. Soulful. Country. Perfect in every way-and propelled by taste." We couldn't agree more. Brandi Carlile is coming to the Bijou Theater Wednesday, February 10 at 8:00pm. Tickets are available at the Disc Exchange, online, or by phone at 656-4444.

Brandi will warm up for her show at the Bijou Theater later that night with a live, acoustic performance at the Disc Exchange at 6:30pm. We will have signed posters for customers who pick up Brandi's latest album, Give Up the Ghost at the in-store (on sale for $9.99). Make sure to get there early to secure yours.

Ray Wylie Hubbard

live in store
Saturday, February 13 at 5:00pm

When F. Scott Fitzgerald issued his classic conclusion that "There are no second acts in American lives,"he failed to envision the career of legendary Texas troubadour Ray Wylie Hubbard. A willing conspirator in the late seventies Cosmic Cowboy revolt that ushered in the mythical Outlaw era, Hubbard was a catalyst in the cultural upheaval that led to the peaceful coexistence of Lone Star music enthusiasts who comprised each end of the social and political spectrum of that troubled time.

Hubbard is on tour supportingA. Enlightenment B. Endarkenment (Hint: There is No C). Snarling acoustic, slide, and electric guitars played bottleneck style, dirty mandolins, pots, pans, stomp boxes, basses, organs, harmoniums, drums, rattles, shakers, and tambourines are the instruments that fuel this impressive collection.

Knock back a couple of 'co-colas' with Ray Wylie Hubbard and your friends at the Disc Exchange Saturday, February 13 at 5:00pm. Hubbard is playing at the Shed later on at 8:00pm
