This might be the most exciting Vinyl Saturday to date. In addition to ALL VINYL being 15% OFF,* check out these EXCLUSIVE titles being released

THE BEATLES - We have a Beatles exclusive! Cool, huh? It’s a vinyl “box set” which includes Abbey Road on vinyl, a custom t-shirt (designed with the original artwork from the sleeve of the Beatles’ first single on Apple Records) and a poster as well. This package was put together just for indie record stores, no one else will have this, and it’s streeting on November 7. There are only 5000 made, and we all know there are more than 5000 Beatles fans out there who will want it, so this should definitely be a hot piece. Why would the Fab Four work with indie record stores? Well, the man who initially discovered them, Brian Epstein, ran indie record stores in the UK, the Beatles were first sold in indie stores, and despite becoming the biggest band in the world, remained pretty indie at heart. What better way to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Abbey Road release than to partner with indie reco rd stores today?
LCD SOUNDSYSTEM - We have the first new music from LCD Soundsystem since 2007’s Sound of Silver album! It’s a 12” single, 180 gram vinyl, of a track called “Bye Bye Bayou.” This is an exclusive piece for Record Store Day, available only to indie stores like us... Pitchfork already loves it, and in fact wil l be streaming it on 11/6, promoting the next day’s street date and the fact that it’s available only in your stores
THE VILLAGE - A special compilation of singers performing the songs of the Greenwich Village folk scene in 1963. Folks like Matt Nathanson, Rickie Lee Jones, Lucinda Williams, Rocco Deluca, Shelby Lynne, Cowboy Junkies, Amos Lee, Rachael Yamagata doing all the folks songs We’ll have the vinyl version on 11/7, and it’s exclusive to indie record stores.

Band of Heathens
Live In-Store Sunday, November 8th at 3:00pm
Formed in Austin, TX, the Band of Heathens became a band totally by accident. Songwriters Colin Brooks, Gordy Quist, and Ed Jurdi were all doing regular sets at Momo's in Austin when they began sitting in with each other, eventually making the whole thing one big show that they called the Good Time Supper Club, which was essentially three singer/songwriters in the round backed by a solid rhythm section of John Chipman on drums and Seth Whitney on bass. What started out as a spontaneous side project soon became a full-fledged rock & roll band. The group's first two albums were both live affairs, 2006's Live from Momo's and 2007's Live at Antone's (which was also released on DVD), while their third, simply called The Band of Heathens, was produced by Ray Wylie Hubbard and released in 2008 on BOH Records.

SAy Anything - Say Anything
 |
Los Angeles rock band Say Anything will release its highly anticapted third album on November 3rd on RCA Records. Self-titled, the 12-song collection was produced by veteran producer/engineer Neal Aaron, who has also worked with Weezer, The Wallflowers, Fall Out Boy, and Everclear, among many others. The band - which is frontman Max Bemis, drummer Coby Linder, bassist Alex Kent, guitarists Jake Turner and Jeff Turner, and keyboard Parker Case - recorded it in early 2009 at the Boat Studio in Los Angeles. Say Anything is the first studio album from the band since its critically acclaimed 2007 double-disc In Defense of the Genre, which Entertainment Weekly praised as an "ambitious artistic statement" and Alternative Press called "an opus that musicians more than twice Bemis' age could only hope to create." Say Anything exploded onto the scene with their 2004 Doghouse Records debut ...Is A Real Boy, which told the ultimate coming of age storey in a swirling storm of sex, drugs, angst, and gut wrenchingly honest rock and roll.

Nirvana - Bleach (deluxe remaster)
 |
Recorded at Reciprocal Recording, Seattle, Washington. With a sludgy, chainsaw guitar sound that owes as much to early Black Sabbath as to Kurt Cobain's heroes The Melvins, whose drummer puts in an appearance here, Nirvana emerges from Seattle's underground scene as standard-bearers of a style that embraces the anger and energy of punk alongside the thick, muddy sonic attack favored by early '70s proto-metal bands. Cobain's lyrics are fueled by outrage and self-loathing, combining literary flair with a direct, visceral quality that makes him a viable candidate for the John-Lennon-of-Gen X award. Nirvana's debut album showcases what sounds more like a force of nature than a rock band. The unrelenting fervor with which the group delivers these 13 tunes is almost frightening. There is also a strong melodic flair that leavens the ferocity occasionally, hinting at the scope of Cobain's compositional talents. "Love Buzz" and "About A Girl" show off enough pop smarts to make it clear that as strong as BLEACH is, Cobain's hiding even more tricks up his sleeve.
